My work Constellation Directions is a reading of different groups of sine tones; gradually shifting between narrow bands of oscillations and pure sine waves. As an audience member you are invited to:
Choose one sound file to play from a phone or portable speaker. You can scan the QR code to find the files.
Then, you are invited to follow along a path on the floor at any speed of your choosing. You can stop, move, run, walk, or whatever you are inclined and able to do. When all the sound has stopped, the piece is done.
Sine tones wax and wane, collide, and join. At some points you may find recognizable sound phenomenon—at others you may not. It is my wish to observe a continually shifting investigative object with audience and loudspeakers.
